Overview

Search is a powerful hybrid search engine across all filings and company data. Choose between four search modes — Hybrid (best of both), Keyword (BM25 exact matching), Semantic (AI meaning-based), and Phrase (exact string matching) — and narrow results with filing type and date range filters.

Results show relevance scores, highlighted content snippets, and key metadata (company, ticker, filing type, sector, market cap, filed date). The URL includes your query as a parameter, so you can bookmark and share searches directly.

What you can do

Search Modes

  • Hybrid: recommended default combining keyword and semantic matching
  • Keyword: BM25 exact matching for precise term lookups
  • Semantic: AI-powered meaning search for conceptual queries
  • Phrase: exact string matching for specific clauses or accounting terms

Filters & Results

  • Filing type groups: Annual (10-K, 10-K/A, 20-F...), Quarterly, Current Events, Insider, Registration, Prospectus, Proxy
  • Date range filter: calendar picker (from / to)
  • Results: company name (linked), ticker, filing type badge, sector, market cap, filed date, relevance score, and highlighted content snippet
  • Query time: displayed in milliseconds alongside result count
  • URL parameter support: link directly to a search with ?q=your+query

Tips

  • ▸Start with Hybrid mode — it combines the strengths of keyword and semantic matching
  • ▸Use Phrase mode when searching for exact legal language, clause text, or specific accounting terms
  • ▸Semantic mode is ideal for conceptual queries like "going concern risk" or "revenue recognition changes" where exact wording varies across filings
  • ▸Apply filing type filters to avoid noise — e.g. restrict to Annual reports when researching full-year financials
  • ▸Bookmark search URLs (they include the ?q= param) to re-run common queries quickly
